Latin America Benefits
From Cooperation With
Asian Countries
SANTIAGO - The Economic
Commission for Latin
America and Caribbean (ECLA)
said on Wednesday that
Latin America benefited
in the past year from
the enhanced economic
cooperation with Asian
countries.
In this way Latin
America has been able to
face in a better way the
world economic
turbulences, ECLA said.
ECLA's Executive
Secretary Mexican Alicia
Barcena said that the
economic exchange terms
increased around 33
percent in 2007 and
South America benefited
more as it exports big
amount of minerals and
agriculture products to
China, Inida and other
nations.
