U.S. Fugitive Deported
Nicholas Himmelsbach, wanted by New Mexico authorities, is in the hands of U.S. officials after being deported from Costa Rica on Tuesday.

Heavily guarded and escorted by Costa Rican immigration officials, the 26 year old Himmelsbach will now face a New Mexico court.

"Because of his aggressive nature, the foreigner was deported in a private flight paid for by the U.S. authorities", said Heidi Bonilla, a spokesperson for the Dirección de Migración (Costa Rican immigration service).

Himmelsbach, waved goodbye and shook the hands of his immigration escorts before boarding his flight. The fugitive had fought police on his arrest, escaping the first time around, only to be captured again several hours later.

Costa Rican authorities say that Himmelsbach entered Costa Rica illegally in March as there is no record of his entry into the country nor on his passport.
