Actions against US
Blockade
Students of the main
school of Agua Dulce
district, in Cocle
province, reflected on
the cause of Cuba
against the US blockade
during a local cultural
festival, according to
reports by organizers.
Attorney Isabel
Gonzalez, who chairs the
Panamanian Coordinating
Committee of Solidarity
with Cuba in the
province, described as a
resounding success
activities carried out
by high school students
of the Rodolfo Chiari
College.
Cuban maps, books and
posters were shown
during the international
festival, and there was
also a presentation of
Cuban cuisine dishes,
including eastern congri,
cassava and pork meat,
Gonzalez told Prensa
Latina.
The event, held on
Saturday 20 on occasion
of the feast to mark the
159th anniversary of
Agua Dulce district,
attracted numerous
residents of Cocle, who
were able to know first
hand about the life and
work of the Cuban
people.
Also over the weekend,
several radio stations
and a TV channel devoted
their programs to
debates about the US
policy against Cuba,
including the economic,
financial, commercial
blockade imposed on the
Island for 48 years. |
