Argentine Industry
Growth Picks up
Argentine industry
announced an increase of
5.4 percent in July
compared to the same
month of last year,
National Institute of
Statistics and Census -INDEC-
reported Friday.
INDEC stressed that from
January to July 2007,
the increase was 7.5
percent in relation to
the same period of 2006.
Likewise, official
sources indicated that
Consumer Prices index at
national level, meaning
cost of living, was of
0.8 percent in July,
compared to the previous
month, when it was 0.5
percent up.
Meantime, according to
estimates from the
Economy Ministry,
published by digital
paper INFOBAE.COM
Friday, tax collection
will be over 5.4 billion
dollars by August, 30
percent more than the
same month of 2006.
The estimate will be
officially disclosed by
the Federal
Administration of Public
Incomes AFIP on
September 3rd.
It is estimated that
during the the first
eight months of the year
around 40.3 billion
dollars will be
collected, 32 percent
more than January-August
2006 and 63 percent more
than same period of
