Hurricane Dean With Little Influence on Costa Rica
The winds and rains expected to hit Costa Rica due to hurricane Dean will not materialize as the hurricane rips through the Caribbean and headed for Mexico, according to the Comision Nacional de Emergencias (CNE).

The hurricane lost speed due to the low humidity over the Pacific preventing it from dumping the expected rain and winds on Costa Rica.

The CNE has changed the alert from "yellow" to "green", keeping an eye on Limón where the waves toppled 2 metres Sunday night, slamming into the shores of downtown Limón, washing up one of the city's parks and destroying the recently completed tourist walkway.
