Costa Rican Vs. Posada Carriles
Release
The celebrations on the 10th
anniversary of the National
University Latin American
Doctorate rejected the bailing
of terrorist Luis Posada
Carriles.
The Cuban Consulate in Costa
Rica says some 22 academicians
backed the call from several
Nobel Prize winners and world
intelligentsia urging the US to
extradite Posada to Venezuela to
hold trial.
These people voiced their
support to Cuban Enrique Ubieta,
adviser of the President of the
Cuban Institute of Arts and
Cinema.
Ubieta questioned George W. Bush
government's double standard
that releases a terrorist and
keeps in prison five youth that
fought actions like Posada
Carriels'.
Among hist worst crimes are the
bombing of a Cuban plane in 1976
with 73 people aboard but he
also participated in the
invasion of Playa Giron (Cuba,
1961).
There are also several failed
assassination attempts against
President Fidel Castro and bombs
planted at several tourists
resorts in Havana in 1997.
