Miss Costa Rica crowned Miss Asia Pacific Int’l

Miss Costa Rica Mundo 2005,
Leonora Jimenez Monge, 22, was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International
2005 at the finals in China yesterday April 9.
The first runner-up was Miss Russia Eugeniya Lapova, and second runner
up Miss China Zhang Li Ru. Beauties from Peru and the Philippines gained
the third and fourth runner-up positions respectively.
Vietnamese beauty Ngo Mai Trang, 23, won the ‘Best Singer’ title in the
talent portion of the contest, which was held before the finals.
The finals, taking place in Guangzhou, China, gathered contestants from
51 nations and territories in the world.
The pageant, aimed to promote peace, trade, tourism and charity in the
region, was broadcasted live on Chinese television.
