woman, naturalized in Costa
Rica, had a sex change operation
to, months later marry a woman.
Yuan Chai became a Costa Rican
citizen in 1985 when she was a
single woman, years later to
return to Costa Rica as a
married man.

Gasoline prices are on the way
up next week, ¢31 for a litre of
super, ¢30 for regular and ¢16
for diesel. The increase will
bring the price of a litre of
super to ¢488 (us$3.77 a
US gallon). The regulating
authority approved the increase
