In today's (June 26) Inside
Costa Rica I see there is an
article about a new MLS service
here. It's been tried so many
times and never has anyone been
able to pull all the sellers and
agents together in the 10 plus
years I have been here. This
seems like just another "real
estate company" trying to get a
started here to me.
About a month ago Brad called me
on one of my listings and came
to look. His partner, Tim
Schmidt made an offer to
purchase the property which the
seller verbally accepted. I had
an attorney prepare all the
papers for the purchase
agreement. Over the following
week Tim stalled and the seller
wouldn't sign a week later.
I worked for a week on the deal
and it ended with no sale by no
fault of my own. Tim was very
angry with me instead of the
seller who backed out and now he
has a listing with the same
seller on their new MLS website
at $45,000. above list price,
with the photos that I took and
had on my website. My car is
even in one of the photos! I
have to wonder if they ever
intended on buying the house at
all!
I'd appreciate it if Brad and
Tim would discontinue using the
photos I took and make their
own. I fail to see how stealing
listings and photos from other
hard working agents turns
someone into an MLS.

i was somewhat mystified when I
brought up your blank page and
much more so when at the top of
internet explorer was the words
( AM Costa Rica) this scared me
half to death thinking that
somehow they had taken over your
website. Good luck!

Dear Sirs:
I see no mention of fixing the
roads leading to Puerto
Viejo/Limon. Do you know whether
or not these roads are part of
the plan to be fixed?
While I read your paper daily,
am disappointed to see that
there is not much, if anything,
about Limon... There is much
written about the Pacific side
in regards to real estate
developments, hotels promotion,
etc... can you write about
something that is happening in
the Limon area... What do U
say?!!!!

If Costa Rica needs operating
capital suggest to the president
that he allow Enrique to return
and conduct business again
and tax the income by 25%.
That would be reasonable and
Costa Rica could use the income.
