Are Latinas More Jealous Than Other Women?

Almost all women are jealous to some extent - some more than others. And it is possible that Latinas get bad rap for their being more jealous that others races/nationalities. If so, is it because of the culture/upbringing, personal experiences, or is it instinctive?

Although we cannot offer any scientific proof or statistic or anything else than our own personal experiences and the experiences of our male friends who have or had a relationship with a Latina, that yes, they are more jealous than almost any other woman.

A typical example is of a divorced Latin woman who will still harbour her love the man she hates and although will want anything to do with him, will express here jealousy openly if and when her ex-man shows an interest in another woman.

A case in point is the recent expression by pop star Jennifer Lopez during a recent taping of Q'Viva! The Chosen she is producing with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Although both have publicly announced their relationships with other people, some say that couple are still in love and the singer/actress still feels jealousy for her ex-husband.

According to reports close to the production, Jennifer is said to have slapped Marc when he responded to a comment about the nice dancers that are part of the couple's show.

In what may have been a Baiting her ex, Jennifer is said to have commented on how pretty the dancers were, to which Marc replied "I have already have eyes for two of them".

The resounding slap to the face and short argument, which included some name calling, was overheard by cast and crew,.

So, the question is why if she no longer has a relationship with the father of her children?

Is it that she is till in love? Or is it simply that Latina jealousy we all love and hate?

Only time will tell.
