MANAGUA - Flor de Gonzalez, which makes
cigars in Hialeah, Florida and Condega,
Nicaragua, has launched a brand called 90
Miles by Flor de Gonzalez.
The smoke is made in the boutique company's
Nicaraguan factory using filler and binder
from Nicaragua, wrapped in a Habano-seed
Ecuadoran wrapper.
The cigars started shipping in March. There
are four sizes: robusto, toro, Churchill and
torpedo.
The inside of the box has a colorful
rendition of the red, black and yellow buoy
at Key West showing the southernmost spot in
the continental United States, which lies
only 90 miles from Cuba.
"We're doing this as a tribute to the United
States," said Yadi Gonzalez, president of
the company. |
