Resignation of Ministers
LA PAZ - Bolivian Government Minister
Alfredo Rada announced that ministers would
resign in a cabinet meeting on Wednesday so
that President Evo Morales decides their
removal or ratification.
Rada underlined that the decision is within
the strict constitutional attributions
conferred to the head of State.
According to the minister, the leader who
was re-elected for a second term of office,
must have the best collaborators by his side
and "he will probably decide so, exercising
his statutory right."
However, Rada recalled that Morales
described the Council of Ministers as a good
cabinet.
According to official sources, the statesman
will put the cabinet on oath for his second
term after his inauguration, which is
scheduled for January 22 at the
Multinational Legislative Assembly.
On that day and according to the regulations
currently in force in the country, the first
session of the new Parliament will take
place and a commission will invite the
President and Vice President for the
official imposition of presidential
attributes.
