No Magma Lava At
Turrialba, Experts Confirm
Experts examining the Turrialba volcano rule
out the presence of magma and lava following
the activity at the volcano during the past
week, spewing out ash and gases, forcing the
evacuation of some 40 people living near the
colossus.
The confirmation was made on Friday
following a break in the weather that had
hampered a close and personal look of the
volcano and the newly created crater.
Experts of the Red Sismológica Nacional were
able to visit the volcano on Friday after
days of waiting for the cold front, that
hampered visibility at the volcano, to move
on.
Although the experts have determined no
magma or lava, that could change at any
minute.
