Bolivia Raids 29 Coca
Labs
COCHABAMABA, BOLIVIA - Bolivia's
Police, in coordination with the Special
Force to Fight Drug-trafficking (FELCN),
have destroyed this week 29 coca labs in
Quillacollo, Ayopaya and Chapare provinces,
in Cochabamba.
FELCN Director, Lt. Col. Elvin Baptista,
told Radio Arbol that the raids resulted in
the confiscation of 6,235g of cocaine, 34
tanks used to produce coca base, 1,400
liters of liquid drug, sulphuric acid, 446
packs of grown coca and 48 packs of leaves.
The source said the labs were
Colombia-styled, adding that there were no
arrests probably because the criminals had
been tipped. |
