Autopista To Santa Ana
Closed At Multiplaza This Weekend
If your are heading out to Santa Ana from
San José and back keep in mind that the
autopista Próspero Fernández will be
completed closed at the Agres river,
immediately east of Multiplaza in Escazú.
The closing is to allow workers to complete
the expansion of the bridge that was to have
taken five weeks to complete since last May.
Traffic on the autopista will be diverted to
the service roads on the north and south
side of the highway and through Multiplaza.
As in the past closings, again for bridge
work, traffic around the area will be
horrendous.
Westbound traffic will exit at the Texaco
station, move along to plaza Itzkazú, under
the Agree bridge, through Multiplaza and
then back onto the autopista. Westbound
traffic will do more or less the same, save
that it will move along the south side
service road that runs in front of
Pricesmart and CIMA hospital after winding
through Multiplaza.
And, yes, the Autopistas del Sol, the road
concessionaire, will be charging the ˘320
toll at the Escazú tool station.
The highway is expected to fully re-open by
Monday morning. |
