Chavez Announces
Expropriation of Sugar Mills
CARACAS - Venezuelan President Hugo
Chavez announced on Wednesday he signed the
authorization to expropriate three sugar
mills that will turn into social property.
We are going to expropriate sugar mills
Venezuela, Casta, in the state of Tachira,
and Torondoy to turn them into social
property, Chavez said this on Tuesday
midnight in his Venezolana de Television
program "La Hojilla."
All procedures establishing in the
Constitution have been fulfilled, the
statesman noted. He also said he will
expropriate "La Batalla" agricultural mill,
located in the state of Barinas.
The president also stated that the country
is analyzing a bill to be sent to the
National Assembly, to create the Academy of
Agricultural Sciences.
Chavez also stressed that he will also
participate in a credit delivery ceremony
today afternoon by the Bi-Centenarian Bank,
comprised of Banfoandes and those placed in
administration Bolivar, Confederado and
central Universal Bank, starting their
duties on December 21. |
