Diving Security Worries Panama

PANAMA - Poor security is listed as major concern in Panama amid growing violent deaths linked to drug trafficking and calls to President Ricardo Martinelli to make it his priority, said TVN Noticias.

Demands include setting up a Security Ministry to brace drug trafficking law enforcement for most of the 225 tons of illegal drugs confiscated along eight years were cocaine, including 56 tons plus 1,400 people on probe last year.

The warnings expose Panama as major trafficking route from Colombia to the US and Europe.
