Police Intensify Traffic Spot Checks Around
San José Airport
For those picking up or dropping passengers
at the Juan Santamaría (San José)
international airport, better have the 2010
Marchamo paid, as the Policía de Tránsito,
along with the Policía Turistica are keeping
a close eye on all road traffic into and out
the airport.
As of Sunday night, the Ministerio de
Seguridad (MSP), reports the confiscation of
10 vehicle license plates, of vehicles
circulating without having paid the Marchamo.
As well, authorities detained two persons
who were illegal in the country.
The MSP, in conjunction with the Tránsito,
decided to hold a major spot check in the
area surrounding the airport due to the
returning vacationers from the beaches and
resorts and those travelling outside the
country for the holidays.
