It Must Be That Time of the Month
While watching my favourite night time talk
show from the US, the screen went blank.
Out comes the remote, let's check in on the
competition. Blank also. How about the other
one? Blank as well.
Oh yeah, it must be the end of the month,
the time when Amnet goes blank on the three
US channels - ABC, CBS and NBC.
This has been common just about every end of
the month for years, especially when the end
of the month falls on a weekend. But, during
the week? Give me a break.
I have called on Amnet on a number of
occasions but have yet to find someone who,
first admit and second talk about the
problem, which leaves me with only one
conclusion, "someone is asleep at the
switch".
For some reason Amnet cannot seem to get its
act together and set up an automated payment
plan for its services, resulting in what
Amnet does to its morose or non-paying
customers - it cuts service.
But, this affects my night time viewing
pleasure.
How can I fall asleep without checking in on
Letterman or Jimmy Fallon. Or that Kimmel
guy, who use to host one of my favourite
night time shows, "The Man Show".
At least I didn't miss Jay Leno, who is now
competing with his old "Late Night" show,
coming in earlier in the evening.
