Panama Confirms 774 A (H1N1) Cases
Panama - Panamanian Health
Minister added four flu A(H1N1) new cases to
rise to 774 infection cases, with 11 death
for that reason.
There are 378 men and 396 women infected,
424 of the total number are younger than 15
years old and 86 between 15 and 19.
Likewise there are 222 cases between 20 and
49 years old, whish equivalents to 28,7
percent, and there 42 infected people with
more than 50.
The greatest number of infection is located
in the capitalâ�Ös metropolitan area, and
there are also cases in the provinces of
Chiriquí, Colón, Herrera, Los Santos,
Veraguas, Coclé, Bocas del Toro y la comarca
Ngobe Bugle.
Although there has been taken sample to
those who are suspect cases and to other who
have flu, there are any evidence of
infection in Darien and Kuna Yala region.
From 774 confirmed cases, there 710, who
have been discharged and have returned to
their daily activities.
The institution has also said it tightened
health measures in indigenous areas like
Ngobe Bugle in order to protect the
inhabitants.
