TSE To Be Exempt From Vehicular Restrictions
Although the rest of us have to obey the
vehicular restrictions every weekday, there
is one group that, beginning on October 7,
can roam the streets of San José freely:
they are the vehicles driver by officials of
the Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones (TSE).
The 2010 presidential campaign officially
kicks off on October 7 and as such the
Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT)
has said it will not apply the vehicular
restrictions to the TSE.
The TSE has asked the MOPT to exempt its
vehicles as it requires its people to move
about the city to offer training courses for
the upcoming elections. The exemption will
apply to some 125 vehicles of the TSE.
The MOPT has also said that it will remove
the vehicular restrictions between February
1 and 7 next year.
The presidential elections will be held the
first Monday in February. |
