Venezuela Asks for Zelaya"s Restitution

Caracas - Nicaraguan Ambassador to Venezuela Ramon Leets pronounced in favor of the restitution of the constitutional order in Honduras after the coup perpetrated in Honduras more than three months ago in that Central American nation.. "We are doing everything possible worldwide at a diplomatic level to restore the constitutional order in Honduras", Leets told Prensa Latina.

He thinks that the coup in Honduras is not only against the Constitutional President Manuel Zelaya, but against all ALBA (Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas) member countries.

He also expressed that Honduran people, along with the support and solidarity of all Latin American and Caribbean peoples have to put a curb on the situation that began in June 28 by the de-facto regime led by Roberto Micheletti.

"We will always be willing to support Honduras or any other Latin American nation that goes through the same situation", the diplomat said.

Honduras Ambassador to Venezuela German Espinal stressed that the international community feels that the irrational coup elite have mocked at them.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez demanded on Monday that the de-facto regime immediately give power back to Zelaya without triggering a massacre now that he managed to enter the country.
