Sabana Sur Road Construction Continues
Behind Schedule
The adminssion by the Ministerio de Obras
Públicas y Transportes (MOPT) that the
Universal-MAG road work is behind schedule
is of no surprise to anyone, as we all are
accustomed to the delays in road work.
The Universal-MAG is the widening and
rebuilding of the road that runs parallel to
the autopista in the Sabana Sur and connects
the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG)
on the west to the Universal department
store on the east.
The roadwork should have already been
completed.
However, Pedro Castro, MOPT vice-minister
said yesterday that the work on the road
would continue for some time more, adding
"hopefully this work won't become a copy of
the San Francisco-La Colina road
construction that is now 2 years old and no
end in sight". |
