Cuba-Nicaragua Commission Meets
Managua -Delegations from Cuba and Nicaragua started
Friday works of the 11th Intergovernmental
Joint Commission to foster relations between
both nations, members of the Bolivarian
Alliance for the Peoples of Our America.
Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign
Investment Rodrigo Malmierca, who presides
over his country's delegation to the
meeting, arrived in this capital on
Thursday.
Rosario Murillo, coordinator of the Council
of Communication and Citizenry, presided the
Nicaraguan Delegation.
It is expected Nicaragua's President Daniel
Ortega will close the event.
A mission from the Industry Chamber of
Nicaragua visited Cuba last year, to
establish several contacts and formalize
accords.
The forum will evaluate the course of
several projects that have been implemented,
for example in health. This is one of the
most important sectors along with education,
Malmierca pointed out. |
