Guatemala Offers Condolences to Cuba
Guatemala - Guatemala voiced sorrow
and solidarity at the Cuban Embassy on
Friday in the wake of the death of Cuban
Vice President Juan Almeida Bosque.
Early in the morning, a book of condolences
was opened in the embassy. The first who
sign it was Government Undersecretary Mario
Martinez, who addressed his message to the
Cuban people and the relatives of late
Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida.
Other signatories included Nicaraguan
Ambassador to Guatemala Silvio Mora, who
wrote that he remembered the Hero of the
Republic of Cuba as a dancer and singer to
life and love. A large number of people
eager to make their feelings known showed up
at the embassy. They were received by Chief
of the diplomatic mission Omar Morales and
other staff.
Panama Charge d Affaires Edwin Pinzon
pointed out that his country joins Cuba in
this sad and painful moment.
Members of the Cuban medical brigade working
in Guatemala stated that they will always
respect Almeida's ideas and continue his
work. |
