First Solidarity Forum with Cuba in
Guatemala
Guatemala - A political and
cultural activity that took place in this
capital opened the First Solidarity Forum
with Cuba in Guatemala devoted to The Five
Cuban anti terrorists prisoners held in the
United States; Gerardo Hernández, Ramón
Labañino, René González, Antonio Guerrero
and Fernando González. The Five, as they are
worldwide known, will be the center of
attention of this meeting.
The official announcement emphasized the
roll of The Five who prevented the Cuban
Revolution and the rest of the world of the
planning and execution of anti terrorist
attempts organized in the U.S. territory.
A capital union headquarter will be the head
office of working section tables about the
reality of the Cuban people.
One of these topics will deal about The
Five, because on this date they will be
doing 11 years of their capture that lead
them to unfair trials and afterwards taken
to penitentiaries.
Organizers of this event said that these
Cubans alerted the U.S Government about
possible terrorist attacks against Cuba and
the United States people as well. They added
that their human rights were not respected
because they were illegally arrested and
deprived of all constitutional rights.
They highlighted the need of raising their
voices to condemn the abuses and outrages
against dignity and self determination of
the Guatemala people and other peoples of
Latin America.
At the end of the debates it will be a walk
against Imperialism and For the Dignity of
our Peoples which will begin from the
auditorium of the university.
Organizers will carry out an
anti-imperialist tribune at the end of the
walk in the city main square as a closure of
this First Solidarity Forum with Cuba in
Guatemala. |
