Investment in Latin America

President Ricardo Martinelli will advocate
investment in Latin America to preserve
regional integration at the 64th United
Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Panamanian
authorities said Thursday.
Martinelli, one of the speakers at the
assembly scheduled from Sept. 23 to 30 in
New York, would give his speech on Sept. 24,
Panamanian Foreign Minister Juan Carlos
Varela announced.
Martinelli's message would argue in favor of
an approach between different ideologies and
political trends in the region as
governments had been emerging with different
conceptions and styles, Varela said.
"He will talk about the unity and the good
relationships that must exist in Latin
America," the minister added.
Varela said Martinelli would attend a series
of meetings with U.S. politicians and
business representatives to brief them on
investment opportunities in Panama. |
