MERCOSUR to Set Up Supreme Court
Buenos Aires - Judges of the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR)
will outline in Buenos Aires the premises to
set up a Supreme Court of that regional
integrationist bloc.
A meeting of judges of the supreme courts of
the bloc's member countries will precede the
Conference of Supreme Courts of the
Americas, to be held from Thursday to
Friday, and will analyze the judicial system
in each country and their points of view
about the relevance of setting up or not a
regional legal system.
Creation of a MERCOSUR judicial system would
entail constituting a Cour of Justice, a
Constitution and a shared capture system,
the local media announced.
The Conference of the Supreme Courts of the
Americas will be attended by Organization of
American States General Secretary Jose
Miguel Insulza. |
