Sign Cooperation
Agreement
Santiagio - El Salvador
and the Economic Commission for Latin
America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) signed
Tuesday an agreement on strengthening their
cooperation in boosting the
institutionalization in El Salvador's public
policy making.
The agreement was signed by Salvadorean
President Mauricio Funes and ECLAC Executive
Secretary Alicia Barcena in San Salvador,El
Salvador's capital, said a statement issued
by the ECLAC.
The ECLAC, headquartered in Santiago, said
that both sides committed to reinforcing
their collaboration in research, training
and technical assistance for boosting the
institutionalization of public policies
making for El Salvador's development.
The agreement covered such fields as
economics analysis and perspective, policies
to handle the world economic crisis,
statistics systems, climate change and fight
against poverty and inequality.
