Waits Expectantly to Restart Dialogue
TEGUCIGALPA - Honduras waits expectantly
Tuesday the results of the dialogue between
representatives from President Manuel Zelaya
and the de facto government, when the
parties discuss the key issue of the
statesman' restitution.
Talks will continue today after three days
of consultations by the parties separately,
in which delegates are waiting to meet again
face to face.
Negotiators agreed at the end of Friday's
session to assure important advances, to
analyze 60 percent of the agenda.
Tuesday's key issue, the sixth of 12 points
proposed by Costa Rican President Oscar
Arias in the so-called San Jose Agreement,
is the restitution of Zelaya.
The three representatives of de facto
President Roberto Micheletti, in their few
public appearances since Friday, insisted on
the progress of negotiations, but they have
avoided referring to Zelaya's return to
office.
The national leadership of the Front
analyzed the situation this weekend, and
conclusions aim a denial from the de facto
regime to the restitution of constitutional
order.
Talks began on October 7 with the attendance
of a mission of foreign ministers from the
Organization of American States, after a
failed meeting in August.
