Two Important Bridges Closures This Weekend
The bridge over the river Agres that
connects Multiplaz, Office Depot, Pricesmart,
CIMA hospital and the Avenida Escazú will be
closed all weekend to allow the construction
of the expansion of Multiplaza, as workers
put the finishing touches to be ready for a
Christmas opening.
This is the 4th time that the bridge has
been completed closed during the past two
months.
To bridge closure complicates access to the
south side of the autopista Próspero
Fernandez as southbound traffic from the
north side of the autopista has been closed
off for months, using the Multiplaza detour.
For westbound traffic to access the
southside of the autopista Próspero
Fernandez you have to take either the
Multiplaza exit and then do a complete 360
on the rotonda and back on the autopista
heading east again or get off at Guachipelin
south and then left onto the eastbound
autopista.
The other bridge to be closed is the over
the autopista Próspero Fernandez on the
Circunvalación that connects the Hatillos
and La Uruca.
The bridge closure effectively closes off
the Circunvalación traffic, this to allow
the completion of the construction of the
bridge expansion.
