Argentina Will Increase Purchase of Gas

LA PAZ - Argentina will increase the purchase from 6 to 14 million cubic meters per day of natural gas to Bolivia, informed today Oscar Coca, minister of Hydrocarbons.

According to him they expect now to solve some technical problems to increase volumes of production.

Coca stated Argentinean part ratified its possition to acquire more gas.

He explained there is a technical problem in a gas pipeline in the Argentinean stretch, which disables the rise of pressure and compels to build a new gas pipeline.

Natural gas production in Bolivia goes 40 million cubic meters per day, thatâÖs why increase sales to the neighboring nation wonâÖt be a problem, underlined Coca.

He also stated the delivery of natural gas to Brazil will continue as agreed.

State-owned petrol company of Bolivia (PYFB) has planned in a short period of time to send natural gas to Uruguay through Argentinean gas pipelines.

He ended by saying Bolivia is getting ready to build a gas pipeline to Paraguay and Uruguay named URUPABUL.
