Aresep Now With Toll Free Number
Have a complaint against any public
service like water, telephone, energy or a
taxi driver? Well, the Autoridad Reguladora
de Servicios Publicos (Aresep) now has a new
number to accept complaints from the public.
Calls can be made to 8000 273737. The call
is toll free (in Costa Rica).
Inflation Rate To Be Between 4% and 6%
For 2009
If you can believe the officials of the
Banco Central, the inflation rate in Costa
Rica should be between 4% and 6% for this
year.
The president of the central bank, Francisco
de Paula Gutiérrez, announced the revised
figures for the second half of the year,
basing the predictions on the Índice de
Precios al Consumidor (IPC) - consumer price
index.
The inflation rate at the beginning of the
year had been forecast by the central bank
as 8%.
