Virilla Bridge Closure Was For Not
All the traffic congestion last weekend
produced by the repair of the Virilla bridge
was for not, as the repair work lasted a
total of two days.
The Consejo Nacional de Vialidad (Conavi)
confirmed that the work on the bridge that
closed the autopista General Cañas for more
than 50 hours consecutively, has come loose.
The metal plate installed to cover up a
gaping hole in the bridge came loose Tuesday
night, less than 48 hours after the
re-opening of the autopista.
The fault was noticed by a Tránsito
officials Eliécer Vargas a little after noon
on Tuesday.
The Cosevi says that another closure will be
necessary to repair the repair that repaired
