Third Time May Be The Charm
If you were one of the most who didn't win
anything in the first two Christmas
lotteries, the Gordo Navideño on Decemeber
12 and the consolation December 19, there is
the second consolation draw this Sunday.
The December 27 lottery pays out a grand
prize of ¢140 million colones, a second
prize of ¢10 million for an "entero" (entire
ticktet) and ¢500.000 colones for a fraction
and a third prize of ¢5 million for an "entero"
(entire ticktet) and ¢250.000 colones for a
fraction.
According to Margarita Barahona, 75% of the
lottery tickets is already in the streets.
Lotteries is a big business in Costa Rica
during the holiday season, as the volume of
ticket purchases increases with the dream of
winning the big one before Christmas.
