Gasoline Prices Went Up Overnight, Another
Hike Coming In January
Gasoline prices went up while you were
sleeping, but brace yourself for another
come the new year, as the Autoridad
Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep),
processes the latest request by the state
refinery, Recope.
At 12:01am this morning, the rpice of a
litre of gasoline shot up ¢24 colones,
regular ¢26 and diesel ¢23, as well as the
price of natural gas, aviation fuel and
kerosene.
The price of a litre of super gasoline this
morning costs ¢588, regular ¢573 and diesel
¢511.
The good news is that this is the last
increase for the year.
But, come January the price of a litre of
super will jump ¢13 colones, while the price
of regular will stay put and diesel drop ¢4
colones, the Aresep approves the new prices
requested by Recope.
