Argentina, Venezuela Sign Cooperation
Agreements
BUENOS AIRES - Argentine President Cristina
Fernandez and her visiting Venezuelan
counterpart Hugo Chavez signed on Wednesday
14 cooperation agreements.
The agreements involved the increase of
commercial air transportation frequency,
purchase of vehicles, industrial technical
assistance, the promotion of integration of
small- and medium-sized enterprises, as well
as train and ship transportation agreements.
The Venezuelan maritime transportation
company Fluvialba and the Argentine dockyard
Tandanor signed a memorandum of
understanding to boost ship construction and
repair projects.
Fernandez said all necessary efforts would
be made to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The two presidents agreed to meet again in
March 2010.
