Uruguay: New President Confirms Commitment
to People
MONTEVIDEO - President Jose Mujica
confirmed in his radio program "Speaking to
the South" his commitment to Uruguayans of a
fight for integration in the country.
"To listen in the fist place to those who
disagree with us because their reasons are
indeed a part of reality," said on the radio
show the representative of the leftist
coalition Broad Front(FA).
The FA leader quoted by the digital edition
of El País stated the hour of responsibility
time is now and starts with what the FA
administration has achieved under Tabare
Vazquez.
Mujica called to agree on warnings against
climate change which, in his view, will be
more significant and influential in a sad
way.
He assured poverty and lack of opportunity
are the basis for security concerns,
although he acknowledged it is not the only
reason, the source abounded.
Mujica and his mate Danilo Astori won over
the National Party ticket, Luis Alberto
Lacalle-Jorge Larranaga in the run off with
a margin, not final yet, of over 10
percentage points. |
