Bolivia considers UNASUR Deal Great
La Paz - The Bolivia Foreign Affairs Minister
David Choquehuanca considered the agreement
achieved at the South American Union of
Nations (UNASUR) summit held in Bariloche
city, Argentine, a great step forward in the
area.
During a press conference Choquehuanca
emphasized that the fact of rejecting the
military presence that put in risk democracy
and sovereignty in the sub continent is an
important step achieved in the meeting of
the integrationist bloc leaders.
He also stressed the need to continue
fighting for turning the region into a peace
zone as it is stated in the first item of
the regional agreement signed by 12 Head of
States.
In addition, he announced that the Security
Council of the bloc that will meet next
September could go deep into a regional
doctrine directed to provide one of the
rules of UNASUR aimed at seeking for peace
in the region.
The final document of the meeting called
Final Decision also rejected arms trade and
drug trafficking, emphasized the diplomat. |
