Colombia Seizes  4 Tons Of Marijuana

Bogota - The Colombian police seized more than 4 tons of marijuana Sunday at the border with Venezuela, officials said on Monday.

The police said the marijuana, worth some 4 million U.S. dollars at the black market, was hidden in a sugar cargo on a truck.

The police followed the truck for several hours and stopped it on the road connecting Bucaramanga, the capital city of the Santander province, and Cucuta, capital of the North Santander province.

The marijuana was likely to be Jamaica-bound, police said.
