US Theatre Group in Bolivia Bares CIA
La Paz - As part of a Bolivia tour The
theater groups Poverty Department from Los
Angeles will perform here the work "Agents
and Assets" that bared antidrug operations
of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Until next Sunday at the Municipal cinema
August 6 the group will perform a hearing of
a House of Representatives made in 1998
showing alleged involvement of the CIA in
cocaine traffic to back Nicaraguan counters.
After visiting Cochabamba and Oruro the
company will examine the consequences of the
war against drug giving the people the
possibility to see how the US policies
damage communities and families worldwide.
The director of the company affirmed the
fight against drug needs a military solution
to a social and public health problem and in
that way turn a citizens into an enemy,
killing them and their communities.
With headquarters in Skid Row zone since
1985 in Los Angeles, the group performs
theater performances that connect
experiences lived by poor people with social
forces. |
