No Result at Obama, Calderon Meeting
Guadalajara - US President Barack
Obama and Mexico's Felipe Calderon met at
the North American Summit, even without
responding to the most urgent problems and
under strong security.
Obama prioritized in this city with his host
Calderon two questions of the bilateral
agenda: health and energy, eliminating
migratory reform.
Although the first Sunday meetings were
behind closed doors, Mexican ambassador
Arturo Sarukhan gave a news conference on
the general panorama of talks.
Obama stated that the first important
current affairs in his country's Congress
will be the reforms on health and energy,
and maybe migration by late 2009.
Both countries' actions to face the global
crisis, the pending bordering modernization,
works of the Top-Level Group on Security,
and health security, were issues proposed in
the agenda between the two nations. |
