Quick Pass Now
Operational At Escazú Toll Station
Following months of waiting and waiting, the
automatic pay toll collection at the Excazú
toll station began operating on Saturday.
Drivers who have purchased the "Quick Pass"
unit that is required to use the lanes
reserved exclusively for the automatic tolls
can now begin to use them.
The pass is only available for purchase
through the HSBC bank, which says it has
sold some 7.000 units to date.
The electronic unit is automatically
detected by the toll booth system and the
amount of ¢310 colones is automatically
deducted from the customer's account.
The tolls for light vehicles and light
commerical vehicles will also be going up
¢10 colones beginning on Wednesday August 5.
