Woman Offered 14 Year Old Daughter to Customers
A 30 year old woman identified only by her last name, Vásquez,
was arrested yesterday by the Delitos Sexuales de la Policía Judicial
for 'proxenetismo'.

According to police, the woman would charge clients ¢40.000
colones so that customers could have sex with her 14 year old
daughter. And that for a few extra colones, the mother would offer
her customers a "lesbian" show between her and her daughter.
The woman had been under police surveillance for some time following
a complaint by a 14 year old girl who had been used to offer sexual
services to clients and Tuesday night police raided the woman's home
in San Rafael Abajo de Desamparados.
Police records show that the woman had been offering the sexual
servers of her own daughter since the age of 12, as well as other
minors in the area.
The surveillance allowed police to known her contacts and customers
and to know how she conducted business. For the large part all was
arranged by telephone and once customers knew where to go, they
would be knocking on the woman's door. Also used were third parties
who solicited customers and then bring them to the woman's home.
The police surveillance revealed that there no short order for
depraved customers who continually would be arranging for sex with
the minors the woman had available for them. The rate would depend
on the client and was clearly set out at the beginning.
Authorities say that some customers would ask for erotic shows
between mother and daughter and in many cases the three would end up
in bed together. The investigation also revealed that in some cases
customers would be cheated, having been promised to have sex with
the minor, the mother would then refuse to allow it but not return
the money paid, knowing that customers could not complain and the
woman would threaten them to denounce them to the authorities.
The raid on the woman's home found evidence that ties her to the
crime she is being charged with, including pornographic videos of
the minors, customer list that includes names and telephone numbers
and marked money that had been used in the undercover investigation.
