Oceanographer Guillermo Quirós warns that climate change is affecting Costa Rica's coast, reducing the country, today and not in the 10 to 15 years previously forecast. Quirós estimates that island near Parrita has already lost 60% of its area in the last 25 years, literally "being eaten up by water". |
