San José - Caldera Closed From Atenas To Orotina!



The ministro de Obras Publicas y Transportes, Francisco Jiménez, announced Friday the closure of the 11 kilometre section of the San José -vCaldera between Atenas and Orotina. The indefinite closure follows the criteria set out by the technical staff of the MOPT and the report by the Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y Arquitectos (CFIA).

Autopistas Says They Will Keep To Same Work Schedule
Although he is not happy about it, Crisitan Sandoval, the general manager of Autopistas del Sol is accepting the order to shut down the 11 kilometres of the San José - Caldera between Atenas and Orotina, saying the concessionaire will not vary from its program of "intervention" and the existing work schedule.



San José - Limón Highway On Alert
The other road under the watchful eyes of transport officials is the San José - Limón or Ruta 32, which has also suffered heavily this start of the rainy season, last month being shut down for almost two weeks due to mudslides and debris on the roadway.
