2010 Full Of Hope

The war against drug trafficking started 2010 with a bang, with the first confiscation of the year. The haul of 246 kilos of cocaine came into the hands of the Fuerza Pública de San Ramón when they received a call involving a domestic violence.

97 Violent Deaths Recorded Last Month
The December numbers are in, 97 people lost their lives violently in Costa Rican in December, five less than December 2008. The total number of violent deaths in 2009 closed at 997.

SAN SALVADOR - El Salvador closed 2009 with the highest number of murders in the last 10 years, reaching an historic number of 4.365, according to the PNC national police. Salvadorn authorities confirmed on Saturday day the number of murders in the Central American country averaged 12 daily.

Femicide Down Slightly In Guatemala
GUATEMALA - According to Guatemalan Interior Ministry figures released on Saturday, there were fewer women killed in the country in 2009 than in 2008, when 773 women died violent deaths in the Central American country. The 2009 dead toll for women was 708.
