Costa Rica Farmer's Market. The farmers’ market in San Isidro, Costa Rica, features a wide assortment of fruits, vegetables, and vendors and customers of all ages. Organic farmers have their own section and wear green shirts. North Americans who live in the area (some of them as farmers) gather at one end of the market to sell produce and socialize. Although the main focus of the spotchecks by the Policía de Tránsito (traffic police) is to reduce drunk driving and that of the Fuerza Pública to spot illegal arms and drugs, important on the list of the spotchecks is also to keep and eye on "flora and fauna".

Some never, ever learn. As of Saturday morning, the Policía de Tránsito report taking into customer 86 drivers legally drunk while behind the wheel of their vehicle.



Returning Vacationers Collapse San José - Caldera On Saturday. More Of The Same Expected Today
As expected, the San José - Caldera carretera collapsed under the heavy volume of traffic on the first day back from Semana Santa, as many decided to make the return home early from the Central and North Pacific beaches and resorts.



Central Pacific Beaches Filled To The Brim
Reports from the beaches have come in and they all have one thing in common, all the beaches are reported crowded. One report described the "puerto" (Puntarenas) as an "hormiguero" (anthill), as people packed every square centimetre of the beach.
