Yesterday
the
Ministerio
de Economía Industria y Comercio (MEIC)
a two part increase in the price of rice. The
first increase will see a 2kg bag from ¢536 to
¢552 on June 20th and then to ¢572 on July 15.
The MEIC also announced that the inflation has
seen price increases of 5.14% for this year
(Jan. to May) and only 3.65% over the same
period last year.

Fischel President and Lawyer Arrested
