Eleven people have died and at least 400 homes were destroyed Sunday as several wildfires continued to rage through southern California.

Despite the efforts by 20,000 firefighters to control the fires, officials said there was no sign that the blazes could be contained in days ahead due to the continued hot and dry weather.
